- Open the Telegram app on your device and ensure you are logged in to your account.
- Once you're in the app, tap on the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the screen. This will open the main menu.
- From the main menu, tap "Settings" to access the Telegram settings.
- In the settings menu, look for and tap on the "Privacy and Security" or "Privacy" option. The exact wording may vary slightly depending on your device and Telegram app version.
- Under the Privacy settings, locate and tap "Last Seen & Online" or a similar option.
- You will see different options related to your visibility on Telegram. To hide your active status, choose the option that suits your preference. The available options typically include:
Everyone: This option allows all Telegram users to see your last seen and online status.
My Contacts: Only your contacts (people in your Telegram contacts list) can see your last seen and online status.
Nobody: This option hides your last seen and online status from everyone, including your contacts.
- Select "Nobody" to hide your active status from all users. If you prefer to limit the visibility to your contacts only, choose the "My Contacts" option. Once you've made your selection, exit the settings menu. After these steps, your active status will be hidden according to your chosen option. Please note that when you hide your active status, you also won't be able to see the active status of other users.
