Hello and welcome to the LuGyiMin Blog! Today, we're excited to share this post "How To Check Battery & Storage Capacity For Laptop Users?" So let's learning together. This method will help laptop users to check the battery. DC Electricity is stored in various ways, and storage with batteries is one of the ways.
How To Check Battery & Storage Capacity For Laptop Users? |
- Introduction to Lithium Battery.
Lithium battery cells are used to store backup power in laptop batteries. There are technically two types of lithium batteries, Li-Po and Li-ion. Laptop batteries are always built with one of these two types. If you decide which battery type is better, Li-Po or Li-ion, you must choose Li-Po based on Over All Performance. In the later generation of laptops, most of them enter the market only with Li-Po cells.
- The lifespan of a laptop battery.
The lifetime of lithium battery cells is based on cycle count and battery life span. The laptop battery is fully charged from 0% to 100% and then fully discharged from 100% to 0% again, defined as using 1 cycle.
As the cycle count increases, the laptop battery's capacity (mWh) also decreases. The standard cycle count of a laptop battery is generally 300 to 500. Life span is 3 to 4 years at most. If you store the battery without using it, it will no longer be as good as it used to be. To control the battery capacity so that the performance does not drop too much during the life span, you must know how to use it.
- Battery percentage should be between 30% and 70%.
- Use at room temperature if possible.
- When using a lot of system performance, use an adapter.
- Recharge the laptop often when not in use.
- I am checking Battery Capacity (mWh).
To check the remaining capacity (mWh) of the laptop Battery:
- Press the Windows and R keys together, and when the Run box appears, type cmd and hit Enter.
- Type>powercfg/batteryreport< and press enter in the Command Prompt that appears.
- After that, a menu showing the location where the report file was generated will appear again.
(Battery life report saved to file path C:\Users\User Name\battery-report.html.) This information will appear if you go to the exported file location and open the report file.
- Design Capacity.
The capacity of the new battery. Even if it's not full, the battery firmware is marked as such.
- Full Charge Capacity.
Current remaining capacity. If the mWh is too low, the battery is no longer good. You can estimate the current state of the battery by comparing the value with the design capacity. You can also tell in detail using the formula. The formula is described in Step-5 IMG.
- Circle Count.
The number of times the charging effort has been used. Circle Count is not provided on all devices. By knowing this information, should the battery be replaced? When you buy a laptop, you will be able to know how much storage capacity has already been destroyed.
