- Step 1:

- Step 3:
- Sort the data (optional). If your data still needs to be sorted, you can sort it to make identifying duplicate names and values easier.
- Click a cell in the selected column or range.
- Go to the Data tab on the Excel Ribbon.
- Click the Sort A by Z or Sort A by Z buttons to sort the data in ascending or descending order.
- Step 4:
- Use conditional formatting features. Conditional formatting is a powerful tool in Excel that can highlight cells that meet certain criteria, such as B. They contain the same name or value.
- Select the column or range of cells to apply conditional formatting.
- Go to the Home tab on the Excel Ribbon.
- Click the Conditional Formatting button. This button is usually in the "Styles" or "Formatting" section.
- Select Highlight Cell Rules from the drop-down menu, then select Duplicate Values.
- You can select Duplicate Values or Unique Values in the Duplicate Values dialog box. Select Duplicate to highlight cells with the same name or value.
- Choose a format style or leave the default.
- Click the OK button to apply the conditional formatting.
- Step 5:
- Check the highlighted cells. Excel now highlights cells with duplicate names or values for easy visual identification. You can scroll through columns or ranges to see repeated names or values.
